One of my favourite things about Easter are caramel eggs...but only the ones made by Red Tulip. Each year, it seems, there are fewer in the bag and the price goes up. They also tend to sell out quickly.

And so this year, the Other Half duly went in search of the elusive eggs in the local Brisbane supermarkets.

These are the results of the search. One bag from each of the major Australian supermarket retailers. Both bags from the same manufacturer but with a slightly mass. So what?

They were both the same price! And yes, the heavier bag had one more egg!
